Shoeniverse is using website as one of our marketing method, we must ensure our website is always secure from thief or threat from hackers to prevent business information and strategy model disclosure to competitors. As such, our company is paying increased attention to the security of the web applications in addition to the security of the underlying computer network and operating systems. Customer’s data is serious information that must keep properly by company in order to keep long term relationship with customers and prevent legal problems which occur from customer privacy expose to the public.
I ) Encryption - makes customers’ information which is text undetectable to the naked eye. For example, public key is used by us to encrypt messages and the private key which is belonging to the key owner such as managers or employees who keeps the key secret in order to protect customers data from being stole by hackers.
II ) Steganography - includes watermarks that hide the copyright information within the watermark by covering files that are not easily detected by the naked eye.
III ) Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Protocol - provides a security “handshake” in customers and Shoeniverse’ computers exchange a brief burst of messages. For example, SSL encrypts and decrypts information flowing between the company computer and customers’ computer after identification. Therefore hackers are not allowed to see the data even they get it because it had been encrypt.
IV ) Firewall - provide a defense between a network and the Internet by examines each message and blocks those that do not meet the specified security criteria.
